This is the second book that Ive read of yours Ms Bourne. After reading the first one, i approached this book with much trepidation for fear that the your earlier brilliance can not be duplicated. Was I wrong. Ths book was even more intense than the other. Here, we are introduced to Annique and Grey. Annique is a truly remarkable heroine. Strong, witty and utterly charming,. stubborn too. I could go on. Needless to say, this is a well written novel. I cant wait for your next one. The best part of this historical romance book is the language. The heroine, Annique is French, and Bourne really captures Francophone speech patterns. So often, authors throw in flavouring words here and there to suggest ethnic origin, but fail to convince. Annique uses French sentence structure and really is one of the best-written characters I've seen in romance novel in ages. In addition to the well-developed characters, there's a fun plot and engaging romance. A keeper for sure! BooksOnBoard Romance eBook Bestseller
