Microsoft added new updates in July 2008 after 18 months without them - a giant step forward for this format.

While we do NOT recommend this format for new users, it may be a good solution for long-term users of Microsoft Reader or those who have reason to use Microsoft's .lit format for conversion purposes.

Additional Device activations must go directly through Microsoft which can sometimes take a very long time to process.
