Publication Order vs. Chronological Order
While the publication order is very close to the recommended reading order, there are minor differences. The prequel Daughter of Time was published first in 2011, which aligns with starting the series there. The main variance is the novella Winds of Time, which was published after Prince of Time but chronologically fits between Footsteps in Time (Book 1) and Prince of Time (Book 2). Reading it chronologically provides the most coherent flow of events.
