The Recommended Reading Order
For the best reading experience, it is highly recommended to read Gena Showalter's Alien Huntress series in story order. This path integrates the main novels with crucial novellas that bridge the narrative gaps, allowing you to follow the progression of the Alien Investigation and Removal (AIR) agency and its key characters.
- Awaken Me Darkly (2005) – Introduces Chicago PD officer Mia Snow and the mysterious Arcadian, Kyrin en Arr.
- Enslave Me Sweetly (2006) – Follows the fierce Raka assassin Eden Black and human agent Lucius Adaire.
- Savor Me Slowly (2007) – Follows cyborg operative Mishka Le’Ace and agent Jaxon Tremain.
- Tempt Me Eternally (2009 novella) – A critical intermediate story featuring Aleaha Love and Breean. Originally published in the Deep Kiss of Winter anthology.

The Young Adult Spinoff: Teen Alien Huntress
Showalter also explored a younger side of the universe with her Teen Alien Huntress spin-off. While these books are set in the same world, they focus on separate teenage protagonists and can be read independently from the main adult series.

- Blacklisted (2007) – Follows Camille Robins as she gets caught up in a chase involving an alien drug.
Note on Darkness Eternal: You may see a third title, Darkness Eternal (listed as 2013), on various book databases. Gena Showalter has confirmed that this was intended as an omnibus compilation of Red Handed and Blacklisted but was never actually printed.
The Spin-Off: Otherworld Assassins
If you want to stay in the universe after finishing the main series, you can jump into the Otherworld Assassins spin-off. This series follows a black-ops group of alien hunters operating in the same futuristic setting.
