The Recommended Aster Valley Reading Order
While most of the full-length novels in Lucy Lennox's Aster Valley series can be read as standalones, they share a closely connected community timeline. To get the best experience and watch the town evolve, we highly recommend reading them in publication order:
- Winter Waites (Book 0.5, Novella - January 2021)
- Right as Raine (Book 1 - February 2021)
- Sweet as Honey (Book 2 - June 2021)
- Hot as Heller (Book 3 - September 2021)
- Forever Wilde in Aster Valley (Crossover Novel - November 2021)
- Thick as Thieves (Book 4 - March 2022)
- Ski Patrol (Book 4.5, Short Story - March 2022)
Where to Start Reading
Depending on your reading preferences, you have two excellent entry points into the series:
- The Cozy Warm-Up: Start with the prequel novella, Winter Waites. It is a quick, sweet read featuring a snowed-in rockstar and a physical therapist, which perfectly introduces the scenic Colorado setting.
- The Full-Length Kickoff: Jump straight into Right as Raine (Book 1). This forbidden sports romance follows Tiller, a closeted NFL star, and Mikey, his coach's son, delivering all the small-town charm and found-family dynamics the series is known for.
Crossovers and the Connected World
Aster Valley belongs to Lucy Lennox's larger shared romance universe, which includes her popular Made Marian and Forever Wilde series. The key crossover book is Forever Wilde in Aster Valley, which brings characters from all three series together for a festive holiday gathering. To maintain chronological alignment, read this crossover right after Hot as Heller (Book 3).
Spin-offs and Short Stories
The main storyline wraps up with Thick as Thieves (Book 4), a best-friends-to-lovers story. If you aren't ready to leave Colorado, you can pick up the bonus short story Ski Patrol (Book 4.5), which centers on a ski patrol responder named Dallas and a visitor named BJ trying to track down a lost list.
