How to Read the Billionaire Aviators Series

The Billionaire Aviators series is best read in order of publication. Each of the first four novels focuses on one of the wealthy, headstrong Armstrong brothers who must marry to fulfill a stipulation in their late father's will and secure their inheritance. The fifth book expands the series' universe to focus on a close family friend.

Recommended Reading Order

  1. Turbulent Intentions (2016) – Follows Cooper Armstrong, an airline CEO and pilot, and Stormy Halifax. Note: This book was originally self-published in 2013 under the title "Below the Radar", but was later heavily revised and expanded.
  2. Turbulent Desires (2016) – Follows Maverick Armstrong, a battle-scarred Air Force pilot, and ER nurse Lindsey Helm.
  3. Turbulent Waters (2017) – Follows Nick Armstrong, a Coast Guard pilot, and physical therapist Chloe Reynolds.
  4. Turbulent Intrigue (2017) – Follows Ace Armstrong, an enigmatic ex-CIA pilot, and fellow aviator Dakota Forbes.
  5. Turbulent Fires (2025) – Follows Wolf Young, a daredevil airline captain and close friend of the Armstrong brothers, and freelance travel writer Audrey Beach.

The "Below the Radar" vs. "Turbulent Intentions" Difference

When starting the series, readers often run into two titles for the first installment: Below the Radar and Turbulent Intentions. While both center on Cooper and Stormy, they are not identical. Below the Radar was Melody Anne's initial 2013 self-published launch of the Billionaire Aviators universe. In 2016, she significantly edited, revised, and expanded the plot before republishing it with Montlake Romance as Turbulent Intentions. For the best continuity with the rest of the series, we highly recommend reading the 2016 revised edition.

Connections to the Broader Anderson Family Saga

While the Billionaire Aviators series is self-contained and does not require reading other books to enjoy, it is set within Melody Anne's larger, interconnected romance universe. The social circles and family dynamics of the Armstrongs mirror and tie into her famous Billionaire Bachelors series (also widely referred to as The Andersons). If you enjoy the blend of wealthy, alpha heroes and matchmaking family structures in this series, you will find similar themes across her other family expansions like The Lost Andersons and Anderson Special Ops.
