How to Read Bloody Mary in Order

The manga is complete at 10 volumes, tracing the progression of Mary and Maria's dark contract from start to finish. Jumping around the volumes is not recommended, as the mystery of the di Maria family's tragic past and the true nature of Mary's identity unfold chronologically.

Is There a Sequel or Spin-off?
Bloody Mary is a standalone story written and illustrated solely by Akaza Samamiya. There are no official sequel or prequel series. However, following the conclusion of the serialization, a special spin-off one-shot chapter was published in the May 2017 issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Asuka magazine. This post-series epilogue is not included in the standard English volume collections, meaning collectors and fans will need to track down the original magazine release or fan archives to read it.
The Core Story and Pacing
The story follows a unique premise: Mary is a 400-year-old vampire who desperately wants to die, but cannot end his own life. He strikes a pact with Ichiro Rosario di Maria, a teenage priest who has the power to exorcise him but doesn't yet know how. Together, they protect each other from other vampires who want Maria's sacred blood, while searching for a way to grant Mary's death wish. The dark gothic Yokohama setting, combined with emotional depth and subtle shonen-ai (boys' love) undertones, makes it a captivating, fast-paced read.
