Set in a fractured, future United Nation of America in the year 2105, the story follows Robin Sylvone, a fierce nineteen-year-old single mother. In this world, the oppressive Child Redistribution Adoption System (CRAS) steals children from the impoverished class to hand them over to wealthy families. Determined to get her daughter back, Robin joins Operation Hood, a rebel vigilante group dedicated to retrieving stolen children.
Connections to Other Bella Forrest Series
While Child Thief is a standalone series and requires no prior reading, fans of Bella Forrest's other work will find a similar fast-paced writing style, high emotional stakes, and dystopian elements here. If you enjoyed The Gender Game, this series offers a very similar flavor of high-action YA sci-fi featuring a resilient female protagonist fighting systemic corruption.
