Where to Start Reading the Cobra / Harry Bauer Series
For the best experience, you should start reading with the first book, Dead of Night (2020). While each book follows a self-contained covert mission, the overall narrative charts Harry Bauer's development as an operative, his evolving relationship with the secretive Cobra agency, and his personal struggle to balance lethal justice with his moral code.

Chronological Order vs. Publication Order Caveats
In this series, the publication order matches the internal chronological order of Harry's missions. You do not need to jump around the timeline. However, readers should note a minor discrepancy surrounding the 19th installment. In May 2024, two titles—Silent Crusade and Rogue Kill—were released within days of each other, leading to inconsistent numbering across online databases. Both cover this chapter of Harry's adventures, but Silent Crusade is the standard database listing for Book 19.
Spin-Offs and Author Universe Connections
While Blake Banner's other popular series, Omega, also features a former British SAS veteran (Lacklan Walker) facing down global conspiracies, there are no official crossovers between the two universes. Both series can be enjoyed completely independently of each other.
