The Recommended Reading Order for Sweet Water

The Bear's Reluctant Wolf (2014)
This second installment follows Trace Dakota, a rugged polar bear shifter who runs the local bar and prefers casual flings over commitment. A Kitty in the Lion's Den (2014)

A Lamb for the Bear's Appetite (2014)
In a direct generational tie-in, this book follows Trace's son, Liam Dakota. A young bear shifter accustomed to the playboy lifestyle, Liam has his world turned upside down when he meets Olive. Trapped into working at a strip club to pay off her brother's debt to a ruthless leopard shifter, Olive must learn to trust her protective mate to rescue her family.
Bear Naked and Bite Marks (2014)
The fifth book focuses on Declan and Melissa. It delivers a fast-paced, high-steam romance that demonstrates the instant, biological bond of shifter mates and how the community rallies around its own when external forces threaten them.
Taming Her Hybrid Beast (2014)
Taking a slightly darker turn, this novel follows two pairs of mates: Roake and Annabelle, and Emma and Jason. Roake and Annabelle are hybrid shifters who escaped an underground laboratory where they were subjected to cruel experimentation. They find refuge, healing, and eventual mating bonds with the local humans and shifters who take them in.
Hook, Line, and Mated (2015)

Publication Order vs. Chronological Order
Because the timeline in Sweet Water progresses linearly from one story to the next, the publication order and chronological order are identical. There are no prequels or complex timeline jumps to navigate. However, because each book resolves its main romantic plotline within its pages, you can easily read them out of order or pick up whichever shifter species appeals to you most without getting lost. The Wylde Bears Companion Connection
