Where to Start Reading Angelbound
If you're new to the Angelbound universe, the absolute best place to start is the main series, Angelbound Origins (also known as the Myla Lewis series). The very first book, Angelbound, introduces Myla, the realm of Purgatory, and the core conflict. Starting anywhere else will spoil major plot points and leave you confused about the complex supernatural hierarchy.
Angelbound Origins: Publication vs. Chronological Order
For the most part, the main Angelbound Origins series follows a straightforward chronological path. However, there is one major exception: Armageddon. While it was published third in 2014, chronologically it serves as the seventh book in the Origins lineup. Reading it third can disrupt the flow of Myla's early journey.
Recommended Chronological Order (Origins Series)
To follow the timeline correctly, read the main books in this order:
- Angelbound (2013)
- Scala (2014)
- Acca (2016)
- Thrax (2017)
- The Dark Lands (2018)
- The Brutal Time (2019)
- Armageddon (2014)
- Quasi Redux (2020)
- Clockwork Igni (2021)
- Lady Reaper (2022)
- Reaper Games (2023)
- Angry Gods (2023)
