Recommended Reading Order
For the best experience, we recommend reading the Boston Brahmin series in order of publication. This allows you to experience the escalation of the cyber-warfare crisis and political intrigue exactly as the author intended. While the core saga finishes in book seven, the companion guides and standalone follow-ups are best read in their original release slots.
- The Loyal Nine (2015)
- Cyber Attack (2015)
- Martial Law (2015)
- Seeds of Liberty (2015) — Note: This is a non-fiction historical companion guide.
- False Flag (2016)
- The Mechanics (2016)
- Choose Freedom (2016)
- Patriot's Farewell (2017) — A continuation focusing on Sarge's political challenges.
- Black Friday (2021) — A standalone thriller set in the same universe.
Understanding the Series Structure
The Core Saga
The main story arc runs through the first three books (The Loyal Nine, Cyber Attack, and Martial Law) and continues after the companion book with False Flag, The Mechanics, and Choose Freedom. These six novels follow the Loyal Nine, a modern group fighting to preserve American democracy in the face of absolute collapse.
The Non-Fiction Companion
Seeds of Liberty is unique in the series. It is a non-fiction historical guide written by Bobby Akart to explain the history, colonists' defiance, and revolutionary acts that inspired the events and characters of the fictional series. While not a novel, it provides excellent depth for history buffs.
The Standalones and Follow-Ups
Patriot's Farewell brings us back to Henry Sargent Winthrop IV ("Sarge") as his presidential term ends, dealing with the fragile state of the nation. Black Friday shifts focus to a localized, fast-paced terrorist threat on the busiest shopping day of the year, operating as a standalone thriller in the same timeline.
