Reading order

The Recommended Reading Order

For the best reading experience, author Donna Grant recommends reading the Chiasson series in tandem with its sister series, the LaRues. Both families are supernatural hunters living in Louisiana (the Chiassons in the bayous of Lyons Point and Crowley, and the LaRues in New Orleans). Because they fight the same central villain and their storylines overlap, reading them in combined publication order ensures you do not miss any plot points or character crossovers.

  1. Wild Fever (Chiasson Book 1) – Published February 2014
  2. Wild Dream (Chiasson Book 2) – Published May 2014

  4. Moon Kissed (LaRue Book 1) – Published November 2014
  5. Moon Thrall (LaRue Book 2) – Published April 2015
  6. Wild Flame (Chiasson Book 4) – Published May 2015
  7. Moon Struck (LaRue Book 3) – Published July 2017

  9. Moon Bound (LaRue Book 4) – Published December 2017

Publication Order vs. Chronological Order

Because these series were written and released to actively alternate storylines, chronological order matches the publication order. While you can read the five Chiasson novellas on their own, doing so will leave gaps in the overarching battle against the series' main antagonist, whose presence spans both the bayou and the French Quarter of New Orleans.

Understanding the Series

The Chiasson Series

Spanning five novellas, this series follows the Chiasson brothers (Vincent, Lincoln, Beau, Christian, and Riley). As protectors of the bayou, they hunt demons, werewolves, and other supernatural entities while finding love amidst voodoo legends and swampy terrain.

The LaRue Series

This four-book spin-off centers on the LaRue siblings (Myles, Court, Solomon, and Kane) based in New Orleans. As hunters of the dark forces, they deal with threats closer to the city and team up with witches, vampires, and other allies, wrapping up the joint storyline.
