Where Should You Start?

The Magitech Universe (Space Fantasy & Epic Lore)

This is Chris Fox's signature setting. It contains two main eras: the space-faring futuristic era of The Magitech Chronicles and Magitech Legacy, and the ancient dark fantasy era of Shattered Gods. Reading these in publication order is highly recommended to fully appreciate the evolution of the lore.

The Magitech Chronicles

This is the core seven-book epic that introduces Aran, a memory-wiped Tech Mage, fighting against draconic forces in a universe where magic powers starships and spellrifles. It should be read in chronological publication order:

Shattered Gods Saga

Set thousands of years before the events of The Magitech Chronicles, the Shattered Gods series is an epic dark fantasy saga that details the origins of the gods and magic that eventually power the starships of the future. While set earlier chronologically, reading this after the main Magitech books is recommended because it adds rich historical context to the world-building. A companion story, Saghir, and the spin-off Rat & Demon flesh out this universe.

The Void Wraith Universe (Military Science Fiction)

This universe is pure, action-packed space opera. It features commander Nolan battling the alien Void Wraith, and later transitions into the Ganog Wars sequel trilogy. While technically set in an alternate universe to Magitech, elements of universe-hopping lore occasionally connect them. You can read this saga independently from Magitech.

Void Wraith Origins (Prequel Trilogy)

This trilogy is set before the events of the main saga and details the backstories of the major faction leaders. While it can be read first, it is best enjoyed as a companion prequel series after finishing the main trilogy.

Void Wraith Trilogy & Ganog Wars

The main narrative begins with Destroyer. The prequel short story Exiled is numbered as Book 0.5 and is best read first to understand Nolan's motivations. The story then transitions directly into the Ganog Wars trilogy, which serves as books 4 through 6 of the overarching story.

The Deathless & Project Solaris Universe (Urban Fantasy)
