Where to Begin Your Journey

While there is only one full-length novel in this universe, there are supplementary stories that flesh out Micheline's world. Here is the recommended chronological reading order for the series:
- Trigger (2015) – This prequel novella focuses on Micheline's intense training under her father's demanding eye and her early days as a licensed monster hunter. - "Fixer" (2015) – A short story set in the Shutter universe. It was published in the young adult anthology Fierce Reads: Kisses and Curses. Note that while some publication records associate the anthology series with 2012, this specific collection containing Alameda's story was released in 2015 to coincide with the launch of her debut novel.
Standalone YA Novels

Pitch Dark (2018)
Set in a future where Earth is dying, the story follows Tuck Morgan, a boy who has been preserved in stasis aboard a ship carrying the remains of human civilization, and Laura Cruz, a scavver from a competing faction searching for a lost seed vault. When their paths cross on a dark ship overrun by blind, sound-sensitive creatures, they must work together to survive. Seven Deadly Shadows (2020)
Co-authored with Valynne E. Maetani, this novel is a brilliant urban fantasy reimagining of Akira Kurosawa's classic film Seven Samurai, deeply rooted in Japanese folklore and Shinto mythology. The story follows Kira Fujikawa, a shrine maiden who can see yokai (spirits). This epic fantasy novel is a major lore installment for the World of Warcraft universe. Set in Azeroth's ancient past, it explores the catastrophic war between the Dragon Aspects (led by Neltharion, Alexstrasza, and Malygos) and the Primal Incarnates (led by Iridikron, Vyranoth, and Fyrakk). The novel details the ideological division over the titan-blessed order of the world and the tragic events that led to the imprisonment of the Incarnates.
