Where to Start with Biba Pearce
Biba Pearce has quickly built a reputation for writing atmospheric, fast-paced police procedurals and crime thrillers. Depending on what style of mystery you enjoy most, there are three primary starting points:
- For classic British police procedurals: Start with the Detective Rob Miller Series. Set against the backdrop of London and Surrey, it follows a dedicated investigator solving high-stakes murder cases.
- For atmospheric US-based investigative thrillers: Start with the Kenzie Gilmore Series. Set in the humid and dangerous Everglades of Florida, this series follows an intrepid investigative reporter.
- For rugged wilderness action-thrillers: Start with the Dalton Savage Series, which Pearce co-authors with L.T. Ryan. This series features a former special forces operative serving as a sheriff.

- Afterburn (2021)
- Dead Heat (2022)
- Heatwave (2022)

What to Know Before You Start
Biba Pearce's writing is heavily influenced by her unique background. Having grown up in post-apartheid Southern Africa before moving to Surrey, UK, she brings a sharp, global perspective to her descriptions of wilderness and cityscapes alike. Her books are designed to be page-turners with short chapters, minimal fluff, and an emphasis on procedural detail and psychological suspense. While the books within each series can technically be read as standalones, you will get the most enjoyment out of watching the characters' personal and professional lives develop chronologically.
