Where to Start with Bradley Wright
If you are a fan of heart-pounding action, black-ops espionage, and vigilante justice in the vein of Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp or Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Bradley Wright is an author you need on your radar. With multiple series running in parallel, finding the right entry point can seem daunting. Fortunately, his books are organized into distinct character-driven sagas, making it easy to choose your preferred starting point.
For the definitive Bradley Wright experience, we highly recommend starting with the Xander King / Alexander King Saga. This is the author's flagship universe and features his most famous protagonist. If you want a fast-paced black-ops thrill ride, start with Whiskey & Roses or the prequel Vendetta. If you prefer military team dynamics and covert intelligence failures, the co-authored Adam Burke Series is an excellent alternative. For those who enjoy classic political thriller tropes, the Tom Walker Series provides a great standalone starting point.
The Xander King & Alexander King Reading Order
The most important detail for new readers to understand is that Xander King and Alexander King are the exact same character. The early books (published between 2016 and 2018) are generally categorized under the "Xander King" banner and focus on a double life: a successful businessman by day and a lethal vigilante assassin by night. The later books (published from 2020 onward) use the full name "Alexander King" and see the protagonist faking his death to operate as an elite counterterrorism operative on global missions.
When reading the Xander King portion of the saga, you have two choices: publication order or chronological order. The only difference is the placement of the novella Vendetta. While published third, it is a prequel that depicts Xander's early training and origins, making it the chronological starting point.

Lawson Raines Series
This series introduces Lawson Raines and takes a slightly different approach to the thriller genre. Read them in order:

- Shooting Star (2019)
Saint Nick Series
Described as a dark, action-packed twist on holiday folklore, this series features a badass vigilante version of Santa Claus:

What to Know Before You Start
While the individual books feature self-contained missions and resolutions, the character development, personal stakes, and recurring secondary characters build over time. This is especially true for the King Saga. Reading the books out of order will spoil major plot points, such as why Alexander King has to fake his death at the start of The Secret Weapon. For the best experience, stick to the chronological reading order of the Xander King books before moving on to the Alexander King series.
