What to Know Before You Start

Angie Fox’s books are highly episodic in their mystery plots but highly serialized in their character relationships. While you can enjoy the individual mysteries as standalones, you will miss out on the slow-burn romances, the evolution of Lizzie's slayer abilities, and the secrets behind Frankie's spectral confinement if you skip around. If you want the most rewarding experience, stick strictly to chronological order and don't skip the ".5" novellas, as they often bridge crucial gaps between the main novels.
